Updated iPhone SE likely to be launched at the starting of 2018.

Last year Apple launched iPhone SE in India along with the regular iPhone. It was considerably cheaper than the iPhone 6s at that time and targeted a specific set of people. The device performed well in the market despite being not that cheap. Some reports suggest that the company is planning to refresh the phone with updated internals. According to some sources, the company will launch the product first in India.

The new iPhone SE is said to be manufactured by Wistron and it has been reported that it will start shipping early next year. Wistron is the same manufacturer who started assembling the current generation of iPhone SE in India.

Talking about the phone, the new iPhone SE is rumoured to have a 4-inch to 4.2-inch display on the front and it also looks like the device will be offered in 32GB and 128GB storage configurations respectively. In terms of the SoC, it has been reported that it is most likely to run on Apple’s A10 chipset and it will be kept powered by a 1700mAh battery.

If the reports turned out to be true then it would be an interesting offering in the already gigantic smartphone market.
