Is Bezel-Less "Essential"?
Last year Xiaomi introduced its concept phone Mi Mix in China.
So what's so special about it?
Well, the answer is, it was a "bezel-less" phone. Now it's not the first time any company has launched a bezel-less phone. Such phone was first introduced by a Japanese multinational called Sharp.
So in 2017, another company known as Essential has launched its new bezel-less phone called Essential PH-1. The PH-1 have complete 2017 flagship specs inside itself. Launched in May 2017, the Essential phone comes with a 5.71-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1312x2560 pixels. It has a not so common 19:10 aspect ratio. The PH-1 is rocking a SD835 chipset underneath which is based on Kryo 280 (2.45GHz Quad + 1.9GHz Quad). It comes with 4GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage which cannot be expanded. The phone has a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
The Essential Phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a 3040mAh non-removable battery. It is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts a Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope and Barometer.
